Tompomo - Art Doll

Tompomo is a curious, handmade, soft sculpture art doll.

They are 100% hand sewn, made from primary yellow, red, and pale blue pure wool felt, vintage coloured glass beads, and wire. They were made for the "RETROSPECT: My Virtual Pet" exhibition hosted by PANCAKE in May 2025, inspired by the love of virtual beings (Tompomo was heavily inspired by the characters in video game "Katamari Damacy", along with their friend Binku who was inspired by "Tamagotchi").

Tompomo has 4 wibbly legs, an array of pompom protrusions, and a perpetually surprised expression do to extreme curiosity about the world around them!

Tompomo is one of a kind, there is not, and will never be another just like them.

They come in a lightly small glass dome on a raw wood base for display and to keep protected from dust/the elements etc. Please display away from direct sunlight to avoid fading.

Tompomo is approximately 10 x 10cm. The display dome is 14.5cm H x 12cm W. They are stuffed with recycled PET toy fill.

NOTE: This is NOT A TOY! It's a little piece of art... While they are nice to hold and touch (in fact, it is recommended that they are, on occasion!) small parts are a choking hazard, and they are too delicate for rough play. Not suitable for small children, and recommended for adult collectors. Tompomo's legs are a little shakey and delicate and should be posed carefully and avoid being moved too often.
